Anne Porter Elliot, Stamping Ground, KY

clay

Anne Porter Elliot is a studio potter and pottery teacher living near Stamping Ground, KY. She produces finely crafted raku and stoneware vessels, both functional and decorative. Anne started working with clay while in her teens, but concentrated on photography in college. At the University of Maryland-Baltimore County, she earned a dual major in visual and performing arts and environmental studies. Upon moving to Lafayette, LA in 1989, Anne rekindled her love of ceramics, teaching both pottery and photography clases in the leisure learning program at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She also took pottery classes at Louisiana State University and the University of Louisana. Anne moved to Central Kentucky in 1999 and juried into the Kentucky Guild of Artists and Craftsmen and the Kentucky Crafted program.

Anne participates in craft fairs throughoutKentucky and Indiana.
